Fundraising for Orphans

International Child Foundation is committed to helping Children without Families

Our humanitarian resources are adoption advocates and adoptive families — donors — who want to help children in orphanages. Our partner in Mexico, the “Refugios” shelter for children who have lost their parents, is our principal beneficiary.  We also help orphanages in Kyrgyzstan, Ghana and Haiti.  We accept checks mailed to the office address or donations through Pay Pal.

A major project in 2010 involved a donation was valued at over $500,000, of much-needed medical equipment for the children’s ward in a hospital in Tokmok, Kyrgyzstan. This program was in conjuction with Project Cure, which provided the medical epuipment. ICF raised donations for the shipping costs, which exceeded $17,000 – shipping at $15,000 and $2,500 for port fees.

ICF families and advocates for children are our primary donors. We pledge that the money donated is used entirely for humanitarian aid; 0-3% may be utilized for fundraising activities but none is lost for administrative expenses, as our adoption programs coordinate logistics for the aid programs.  Generally, 100% of donations directly benefit recipients.
